Cherryfied(2026) for 2 Voices and Live-Electronics
A fact hangs like a cherry.
It hangs, therefore it is a fact.
I swallow the hard pit.
The pit is my center.
I see the red first.
The red sees me first.
I choose the color that fits me.
The color chooses the “I” that fits it.
Only the visible is visible.
“Cherryfied” investigates perception as an act of selection. At its core lies confirmation bias: the tendency to cling to what confirms our beliefs while filtering out what disturbs them.
Voices are fragmented, shifted, and alienated. Meaning arises not from what is said, but from what one wants to hear. Screaming and control emerge as two states of the same internal pressure. Familiar musical material appears, only to gradually lose its stability. Certainty becomes mere surface; repetition becomes doubt.
The work focuses not on truth itself, but on the filters through which it is perceived—and the traces these filters leave behind.
