Sound Installation (MDF boards, acrylic glass, figures, thread, LED light strip and 2-channel audio)

This sound installation critically illuminates the attitude in modern society, which neglects the search for the truth in the flood of media and information, selectively accepts information and is carried away by it uncritically. The objects in the work appear to be positioned independently of each other and in different directions, but are ultimately connected to each other by a thread attached to a speaker. By vibrating the speaker with sounds, these objects shake incessantly, symbolizing the psychology of the crowd and the influence of media in today's society. It reflects the image of the public (and us?), some of whom easily fall under the influence of biased information presented by social media without going through a critical analysis or verification process.

“Kill me now” for voice, otamatone and live-electronics is a result of exploring the diversity and differences between acoustic sound distortions that humans can create and sound distortions that can be created through electronic devices. It consists of a combination of sound distortions that humans can make acoustically (scratching, moaning, etc.) and electronic sound distortions created through computer programming, and presents to a new realm of sound that human voices and acoustic instruments cannot reach.

It is an experimental performance about an influencer, who wants to be perceived by others as a religious person, and wants to post on social media after the performance.

After attaching drawings of Jesus wearing a colorful crown drawn by A.I., and decorating herself like that drawings by wrapping light bulbs with sound sensors around her head.
The performer says a lot of profound-looking words about light (like a pastor’s sermon), but the audience standing outside hear only overly filtered voices like aliens, so they can not understand the content properly.
After talking a lot of “bullshit” about the light, the performer confesses at the end.
“I just wanted to look a bit religious… because I have to post it on my Instagram.”
After that, it ends by taking a lot of selfies in front of the audience.

I eat rice my dear (2023)
8 Channel Sound Installation
(Speakers, Staple foods from different countries, 8-Channel low-frequency composition)

"I don't drink coffee, I drink tea my dear", these words appear in the song "Englishman in New York" by Sting. The text refers to the cultural differences between England and America, because tea is considered an English cultural asset and is traditionally more important than coffee. According to the song, drinking tea in the USA makes you a stranger and the difference in culture and thinking becomes clear through the one drink. The title of the sound installation "I eat rice my dear" is a parody of this song. It expresses cultural differences and individual preferences through staple foods eaten in various countries. These are made to vibrate by low-frequency frequencies and thus produce sounds themselves. Also my personal experiences as a foreigner in a European country and trying to adapt to the life and culture of the place are reinterpreted through sound and food.

”Let there be fancy Light“ is an attempt to satirize the social problems that people suffer from light and noise pollution, such as insomnia due to the LED lights of the crosses of the overly conspicuous Korean churches. In addition, other general issues such as the many themes of offerings, politics within the church, and demonstrations are dealt with unusual themes, and these problems reinterpreted through humor and satire.

A collection of works based on impressions of lockdown and field recordings of places affected by the COVID.

In a quiet, empty airport, the sound of escalators, one person talking on the phone, the sound of footsteps, the sound of cleaning can now be heard so clearly. The airport is now crowded with that noises other than the loud voices of people, which were the main materials.

Speziell für den Kunstverein Münsterland in Coesfeld sind Arbeiten entstanden, die die Wechselwirkung von Klang und Bild thematisieren: das Geräusch fallender Kaffeebohnen wird mit einem politischen Kontext hinterlegt; kreisende Blätter erzeugen subtilste Klänge an der Wand; interaktive, computergesteuerte Plattenspieler übersetzen Farben in Sounds; grafische Arbeiten evozieren inneres Hören und bezeugen einen
künstlerischen Fern-Dialog in Corona-Zeiten; ein Video demonstriert: auch Kunstwerke müssen Abstand halten; ein Lautsprecher reflektiert über seine Funktion; die Geräusche der allgegenwärtigen SMS-Kommunikation mit Smartphones ticken durch den Raum.
